There is no going back.
AI isn’t slowing down. It’s only getting faster, smarter, more capable, embedded. Your colleagues and competitors are already deploying copilots, custom models, and autonomous agents, faster than security teams can evaluate, let alone control.
Some businesses block the LLMs completely and pretend their employees won’t find workarounds. Others throw up their hands and pray for the best. Then there are those who acknowledge what’s already true: AI is here to stay, and the question in front of us is not whether it will be used, but how.
This tension — between speed and safety — is exactly why we built WitnessAI.
Our view is simple. We can fear these systems — or we can enable them responsibly and unlock their potential: unprecedented productivity gains, medical breakthroughs, new forms of creativity and problem-solving, the freedom to focus on higher-order tasks.
But none of that happens without confidence.
AI changes the threat model. It blurs the line between user and system, between tool and actor. It introduces new forms of risk — data leakage, model manipulation, unintended autonomy — that traditional security tools were never designed to see, let alone stop.
Right now, security teams all over the world are being asked questions they cannot answer.
- Which AI tools are actually in use?
- What actions are employees — and now agents — taking on our behalf?
- How do we stop attacks on our models and agents before the damage is done?
Traditional security tools weren’t built for this world. Keywords don’t work. Network proxies don’t see what’s happening inside AI workflows. And stitching together half a dozen legacy products across the cloud, desktops, mobile devices, and LLMs just creates more complexity.
WitnessAI exists to solve that problem. We are the confidence layer for enterprise AI, purpose-built to secure every AI interaction — everywhere.
Over the past year, we’ve expanded beyond securing model usage to securing AI agents themselves, bringing visibility and control to otherwise autonomous systems. Security teams can finally get a grip on how employees engage bots and models, what data and MCP servers agents are accessing, and sharing, in real time.
Today, we are announcing two new platform capabilities to secure AI agents:
- Securing AI agent activity similarly to LLM activity, monitoring which agents are active, what MCP servers and tools they are accessing, and what data they are sharing.
- Extending AI application protection from AI models to agents, safely blocking attacks and malicious prompts before they reach the agent.
Security teams finally get clarity, and their business gets to move faster. Our customers are seeing the benefits firsthand: WitnessAI is now deployed across the world’s leading financial services firms, largest utilities, biggest airlines, automakers, retailers, and telecoms. We’ve seen more than 500% ARR growth — just in the past 12 months, and expanded our headcount by 5x to support customer demand.
Enterprises aren’t asking whether they’ll adopt AI anymore. They’re asking how to do it responsibly and at scale. They understand that progress and protection go hand-in-hand. It is what has guided us in every decision we’ve made.
Today, we’re sharing a milestone in that journey.
WitnessAI has raised $58 million in strategic funding, backed by one of the most diverse and thoughtfully assembled investor groups we could have imagined. We like to think of them as an armada — a coalition of perspectives spanning technology, finance, media, security, policy, and global scale.
The round was led by Sound Ventures, with participation from leading strategic investors including Fin Capital, the leading fintech firm backing category-defining financial services and infrastructure platforms; Samsung Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures; and cybersecurity fund Forgepoint Capital Partners. We’re also proud to bring on angels like Silver Buckshot Ventures, the cyber moonshot fund founded by bestselling cybersecurity author and journalist Nicole Perlroth. Together, they join our existing investors Google Ventures and Ballistic Ventures.
The capital matters — but not just because it allows us to grow. It brings together vantage points that shape how we humans responsibly enable the greatest technological inflection point in history. It allows us to move faster, expand globally, and extend our platform to secure the next generation of AI applications and autonomous agents.
Most importantly, it reflects a shared conviction: that AI’s future must be built with security, trust, and human intent at its core.
The path forward isn’t about choosing between innovation and safety. It’s about refusing to treat them as opposites.
We built WitnessAI for the world that’s here — not the one we wish we still lived in. A world where AI systems act on our behalf. Where decisions are made at machine speed. Where trust must be earned continuously, not assumed.
There is no going back. But there is a way forward.
And we intend to help build it — securely, deliberately, and with humans firmly in the loop.
We welcome you to come along for the ride.
